Every tier runs the full adaptive loop. You’re choosing volume, not capability.

Free runs one brief end to end. Solo handles five briefs at once. Pro adds cohort rounds + cross-cohort aggregation for studies that need comparable signal across N respondents. On Solo or Pro you can bring your own Anthropic key — that lifts the session cap, since you’re billing the LLM cost to your own account.

Why pay vs DIY or competitors

Rough order-of-magnitude comparison for a 10-participant cohort study.

approachmonthly costwhat you actually get
DIY: ChatGPT + Zoom + a doc$20 + your timeNo conductor that adapts across turns, no comparable structure between participants, no aggregation. You are the synthesis engine.
AI-assisted research tools (Dovetail AI, Notably)~$200–600 / seatAI summarisation + tagging on transcripts you already collected. The interview itself is still human-moderated. Synthesis-side help, not moderation-side.
Listen Labs / Userlytics~$10K+ enterpriseRecruitment + recordings — but the interview is whatever the moderator scripts. No cross-turn memory inside the conversation.
Lacudelph Pro$99An AI conductor that adapts mid-conversation and synthesises across participants while interviews are still running — not a survey, not a recording, not a transcript you tag afterwards.

Before you decide

Will participants actually open up to an AI?

More than they open up to a survey, and often more than to a stranger on Zoom. The conductor probes Socratically — it follows up on what someone actually said, two and three turns deep — and every participant leaves with their own structured reflection of what they worked out. Because the artefact is theirs to keep, the conversation reads as co-investigation, not extraction. Response rates hold up for exactly that reason.

Is there a free trial?

There's no time-boxed trial — Free is a real, permanent tier, not a countdown. It runs one brief end to end with 5 sessions a month: enough to conduct a genuine interview and see the loop before you pay anything.

What counts as a session?

One participant interview. It counts toward the month it started in. An interview that's abandoned partway still counts once it's had real turns — but the cohort report only aggregates completed sessions, so an abandoned one never skews your findings.

What happens when I hit the monthly session cap?

It's a hard cap, not a surprise overage bill — you upgrade a tier or wait for the monthly reset. We'd rather you consciously decide to move up than open an invoice you didn't expect.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — one click from /org/billing. You keep paid features through the end of the billing period you've already paid for. First-time subscribers also get a 14-day refund window on the first charge.

Where does my data live, and is it secure?

Interviews run on infrastructure in the US; participant transcripts and takeaways are encrypted at rest and never used to train anything. The security one-pager covers sub-processors, retention, and encryption in full, and a baseline DPA is available before you sign.
